Who We Are

  • We are a Women-Owned Nurse Practitioner medical and wellness practice, focused on managing care for our pediatric population and making it convenient for their mother’s and other women to receive health and wellness services

Vision

  • To provide accessible, quality, convenient health and wellness care for women and children regardless of socioeconomic status or cultural background

Mission

  • Our mission is to improve, promote, and enhance the overall health and wellness of our diverse patients, their families and the community
  • To provide culturally sensitive, holistic healthcare
  • To ensure the unserved and underserved have access to primary care
  • To foster relationships with families, while caring for our patients with compassion, excellence and clinical expertise
  • To create an environment to help develop the next generation of healthcare providers, particularly advanced practice nurses

Our Providers

Harsana Showunmi, DNP, BSN, CPNP 

  • Received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Hunter College, CUNY in New York and Doctorate degree from University of Maryland School of Nursing in Maryland, earning a Doctorate in Pediatric Nursing Practice 
  • Over sixteen years working as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner working with women and children in the hospital and the community 
  • Holds a Teaching in Nursing and Health Professions Certificate and is an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Maryland School of Nursing, educating nursing students as a clinical instructor 
  • An active member of the Columbia Town Center Rotary Club, Columbia, MD and takes every opportunity to volunteer in her community 
  • Founder of a nonprofit, Better Health Initiative for Women and Children, Inc., an organization focused on educating and improving health care practices and access to health for women and children in Nigeria and beyond
  • Married with 3 children of her own. Her favorite pastime is vacationing on the beach with her family
